Back to List>> 2006 Jinling General Manager Forum Is A Great Success

Focusing on quality and marketing, the 2006 General Manager's Forum held on March 10 and 11 in Jinling Hotel Nanjing, was a great success. Tang Wenjian, chairman of Jinling Holdings Limited, called for concerted efforts by all Jinling Hotels & Resorts on improving product quality and marketing for expanding growth. 
During the 2-day forum, General Managers and executives of both Jinling Holdings Limited and Jinling Hotels & Resorts Corporation first reviewed overall performance in 2005. After that, they had in-depth discussion over Sales and Marketing, Purchasing, Food and Beverage, Training, Quality Control, Human Resource, IT Service, and Finance. General Managers agreed that Jinling website, Jinling Central Reservation System, Jinling Elite Program, and newly launched Jinling Sourcing system, provide great support to each member hotel. They also agreed to make good use of this system for sustained development.
Along with Jinling's rapid development, the importance of corporate culture continues to expand. Chairman Tang stated, it is like the air we breathe: hard to put your hands around, however it is everywhere! Managers have direct and significant influence on all aspects of their employee's relationship to his/her job, teammates, work environment, and ultimately to the company. In light of this, Chairman Tang encouraged all general managers to better understand Jinling culture and set a good example for their staff.
At the end of this forum, general managers of each member hotel received GM work codes with bronze plaques from Hu Ming, Chairman of Jinling Hotels & Resorts Corporation. (By Lu Qin & Shi Deguang)
