The Company is among the first in the industry to
build ecological hotels, to blend ecological practices into “green management,”
and to vigorously implement the environment protection activity theme entitled “Embrace
Green Living.” The Company has advocated green consumption and green living and
is committed to contribute, along with its guests, to environmental
improvement, natural resource protection and energy and raw material conservation.
It has formulated a sound HACCP system, enriched the ecological qualities of its
products, and explored green food materials. The company has up a 50-mu Organic
Vegetable Base of Jinling Hotel Nanjing, and continues to add more spices to
ensure a safe food supply. In March 2012, it took the initiative among hotels
inJiangsuProvinceto remove shark fin dishes from
its restaurants’ menu; this action was highly praised by international
environmental organizations and wildlife conservation organizations, as well as
by people throughout Chinese society.
The Company has enhanced the preventative and regular
maintenance of facilities to ensure the safety and efficiency of equipment
systems, as well as increased the regular replacement of equipment. The Company
has actively explored a “low-carbon operation” pattern, strengthened the
management of energy resources, taken measures to reduce emission and save
energy by using intelligent air conditioners, new spray, variable frequency
pumps, and waste heat recovery systems, which helps save about 110 KWh and 190,000 cubic meters of gas. It was given the
“Excellent Organization and Management Green Hotel” Award, the “Model Water
Saving Hotel” Award, and the “Water-Saving Hotel inJiangsuProvince”
Award.
