High-Profile Construction Project Serves as Benchmark Image
Jinling Hotel Expansion Project will become a seamless extension of the current main building. In order to expand advantages afforded to hotel management while accelerating industrial optimization which will eventually elevate the integral hardware standards of Jinling Hotel, Jinling Hotel Corporation has cooperated with Shing Kwan Group Singapore for the 2nd time in this jointly invested new Jinling Hotel expansion project. When this 238 meters high multi-functional structure is completed, it will result in 57 stories with a total construction site of 160,000 square meters. The total investment budgeted for this project has reached 1.6 billion RMB. This new construction will encompass a deluxe 5-star hotel with an office building (adapted to 5A Building Intelligent Standards), convention center and exclusive shopping center all-in-one. Upon completion of this new expansion project, upgraded hardware and enhanced multi-functional services will maximize profits for investors while also improving the environment surrounding the northwest corner of Xinjiekou.
The former construction area of Jinling Hotel Nanjing is 90,000 square meters. After the completion of this expansion project, the total construction area of both buildings will cover 250,000 square meters. The new and old buildings will be seamlessly connected by sky bridges and underground passages. The connection of these 2 buildings will maximize advantages for the older building while also maximizing benefits to its investors. The 3 underground floors for the expansion project will connect to Nanjing Metro and underpasses in Xinjiekou Square. Guests can easily reach the basement of Jinling Hotel through any entrance in Xinjiekou Square. In addition, after completing this expansion project, the green area around the main building will become the “green lung” of the city center; stretching from the southeast corner of Jinling Hotel to Yanan Road. This green belt will be 35 meters wide, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. Strategic, schematically-designed landscaping will feature lush lawn, verdant shrubbery and sturdy trees accented by luxurious fountains. This scenic area will be well-integrated providing access from sidewalks located just outside Jinling Hotel. Passersby can feast their eyes on this inviting paradise of vibrant greenery and peaceful tranquility; amid the nearby backdrop of traffic and commotion. Developing this “Green Lung” upgrades Nanjing's image and enhances downtown business activity. It infuses the area with fresh life, beauty and harmony through is natural green appeal. More than this, it restores luster to a famous, ancient capitol with dignity, pride and respect; to be admired and embraced for many years to come.
Under the unified leadership and skillful organization of construction headquarters; workers race against time to actualize this project as projected. “Construct a high-quality project, and establish a benchmark image” is our motto, is our promise. Currently, investments of Jinling Hotel expansion program have accumulated to 0.46 billion with every task gaining monumental breakthroughs. Old buildings being demolished while onsite construction builds new, are moving forward as scheduled. This July, the expansion project will finish underground construction. It is estimated that the main building of Jinling will complete 30 stories by the end of 2010 while finishing total construction by the end of 2011. This will be a momentous occasion to observe.
