The 2005 International Consultative Conference On Development in Jiangsu opened on September 9th , 2005 in the Jinling Hotel Nanjing. A group of executives and experts came to the Jinling. Among them were CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, Noble-Prize winners, and world-renowned experts. Hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, they focused on Technology Progress and Jiangsu Industrial Restructuring and offered valuable advice. This is the first time that Jiangsu Province has hosted a conference of such a scale.
To make this event a success, the Jinling management and staff started to prepare several weeks in advance. From the guest rooms to the menu, every detail was fully considered. The different departments coordinated well to ensure the well known Jinlingstandard of service. All these VIP guests were arranged to stay on the Jinling Executive Floor and given butler service. During the welcome banquet, the guests enjoyed famous Jinling Cuisine, especially the braised abalone with mushroom sauce, and sautéed shrimps with celery.
This is the 7th time that Prof. Ding Zhaozhong has stayed in the Jinling Hotel Nanjing. He spoke highly of the Jinling. Compared with many hotels in the world, the Jinling has its unique charm, especially the Huaiyang Cuisine, said Prof. Ding.
