Back to List>> 2005 Christmas Chic

Christmas is a traditional holiday in the West. In China however, it has turned into an occasion for socializing. The year 2005 marks the 11th year for deluxe hotels in Nanjing to stage Christmas Theme Parties. During these years, Jinling Hotel has retained its leading position in Nanjing for innovative ideas and colorful activities celebrating this festival.

On December 24, 2005 Christmas Chic opened for our guests showcasing a 4-scene musical play. The nostalgic Scene I conveys traditional Chinese culture with folk song by Liu Sanjie. Scene II, adapted from Notre Dame de Paris, presents the romance of France. Scene III, drawing inspiration from the classic film Singing in the Rain, features modern dance to the tune of jazz. Scene IV, highlights the singing of opera such as The Phantom of the Opera. Frequent changes in theme, setting, and music created different dimensions with unusual audio-visual impact.  2005 Christmas Chic at Jinling Hotel was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone.

As in previous years, 2005 Christmas Chic impressed the audience profoundly with its modern concept while highlighting fashion. On the Sincere Thanks Party on December 25, Ms. Debra Wright, full-time Business Consultant for the Jinling Holdings Limited, told us I never would have expected such a wonderful performance!  The opera singers were fantastic.  I would definitely recommend this unique Christmas in China experience to my friends in the US! Mr. Wood from DSM also enjoyed the party, expressing praise for the Christmas Carol. Their voices are pure, their smiles sincere, he said, and the taro crispy with chocolate flavor is so nice.
