On May 28, 2005, a grand ceremony was held in Yantai, Shandong Province to celebrate the unveiling of Cabernet Gernischt 2002, a special wine dedicated to the Jinling Hotels and Resorts by Chateau Changyu Castel CO. Ltd. Ms. Li Jianwei, Chairman of Jinling Hotels and Resorts, and Mr. Zhou Hongjiang, General Manager of Chateau Changyu Castel CO, opened the first barrel together, marking that the cooperation of Jinling and Zhangyu, two famous national brands in China, has entered a new historical phase. 

 

The birth of Cabernet Gernischt 2002 for Jinling Hotels and Resorts is a long and interesting story. After careful research and preparation, the Management of Chateau Changyu Castel CO. Ltd finally decided to use the Cabernet Gernischt, the top quality grape produced in 2002, to make wines for the Jinling. Stored in French oak barrels for a long time, the Cabernet Gernischt 2002, upon unveiling, looks deep ruby, clear and brilliant, rich in aroma and harmonious in the fragrance of wine and oak, it tastes mature and gives an overall impressions of perfect roundness, unique in its features, combining the excellent vintage with special wine-making technology makes top quality of the wine.

 

Changyu is the first industrialized wine manufacturer in China with more than a century's history. Jinling is pioneer of national brands in China's hotel industry. In 2001, Changyu co-operated strategically with French Castel Group Company to co-invest China’s first specialized chateau to international standards. Located at Beijujia Village of Yantai Economic and Technical Development Zone, between the golden tourism zone of Yantai-Penglai, Chateau Changyu-Castel (CCC) has a total area of 140 hectares of vineyard and square, 135 hectares of vineyard for vine making, 8300 square meters of the building.
