Back to List>> Jinling Tackles Europe Tourists Market Through the ITB

From March 11 to 15, 2005, Mr. Zhao Yuyuan, Vice President of the Jinling Holdings Limited, and Mr. Simon Cao, Business Development Manager of the Jinling Advanced Marketing Services, took part in the 39th ITB Berlin on behalf of the Jinling to tackle the European Tourists Market. During this event, they had a good exchange with many tourism operators and agents, hotel companies, and international media, to make the Jinling brand and the Jinling Global Marketing Services (JGMSs) well known in the world.

ITB Berlin is a prime meeting place, a marketplace, and a driving force behind the tourism industry. This year's ITB drew a full spectrum of global tourism at all levels of the value added chain like travel destinations, hotels, airlines, tour operators, travel technology suppliers. More than 10, 400 exhibitors from 181 countries and regions attracted a total of over 80,000 professionals and 140,000 visitors this time.

Last year's tsunami in the Indian Ocean claimed thousands of lives and was a heavy blow to the tourism industry in the disaster-stricken areas. So the revival of tourism in these areas becomes a major concern in this year's ITB. In his speech on the opening ceremony, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder called for the tourists to go back to these areas for their holidays, saying that this will significantly help people in these areas.
