Back to List>> Jinling Managers Back from Exchange Program at Purdue

After attending a 45-day exchange from July 16 to August 31 at Purdue University USA, a group of 14 Jinling Executives and Managers came back and reported to duty.
 
This exchange program is part of the long-term industrial and academic cooperation between Jinling Holdings Limited and Purdue University to train first-class talents of hospitality and tourism Management.
 
Led by Mr. Hu Ming, Assistant General Manager of Jinling Holdings Limited, this group of Jinling Executives and Managers attended a series of programs on strategic management, sales and marketing, finance management and human resources management. The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM), famous for its excellence in HTM teaching and research in USA, designed custom-tailored courses and assigned its best professors to train the Jinling staff. The one-month study proved to be a great learning experience on practical theories of hotel management and new perspective on information technology as well. They all felt that they had benefited a lot from the trainings in various forms covering case study, seminar, simulated management workshop and presentation. Arranged by the School of Consumer and Family Science (CFS), Jinling Executives and Managers visited many cities and counties in the US and had exchanges with professionals from Embassy Suites Chicago and Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Through this they have gained a better understanding of chain development of hospitality industry in the U.S.A. (By Li Jin)
