　　（2007年10月23日 南京）“我以为今天幸运之神一点都没眷顾我，没想到是你们把幸运又带给了我”。2007年10月23日中午12时20分，美国汉佰全球高级副总裁罗兰德先生在南京金陵饭店大厅，与酒店大堂、安全部等工作人员一一握手，真诚地表达了自己的谢意。

　　10月23日上午八点半，罗兰德先生准备从禄口国际机场启程回到美国，但在抵达机场准备办理登机手续时，突然发现自己的护照不见了，翻遍了所有的行李，仍然一无所获，于是他不得不又返回了已入住七天的南京金陵饭店寻求帮助。

　　得知此情况，大堂立即陪同客人前往房间再次进行认真查找，但依然没有发现护照的踪迹。罗兰德先生因为有要事在身，明天必须赶回美国，显得非常焦虑。而现在唯一的途径就是立即到派出所和外管处办理护照遗失证明。但办理证明的手续很复杂，需要多个部门签字认可，全部办理完成大约需要一个下午的时间。为了解决罗兰德先生的实际困难，安全部一边联系派出所和外管处的相关负责人，一边派出专人协助客人前往办理。在向派出所和外管处扼要说明的来意后，外管处和派出所的同志十分配合，以最快的速度为客人办理好相关手续，大堂还在第一时间为客人购买了两张下午两点四十分去上海的火车票。终于，在十二点二十分办完了所有的手续。在拿到相关遗失证明后，罗兰德先生露出了舒心的笑容。

　　抑止不住自己激动心情的罗兰德先生迫不及待地在大厅里取出纸和笔，认真写下了一封给公司领导的感谢信，感谢所有关心他、帮助他的金陵人。在离店前，罗兰德先生与“金陵人”愉快地合影留念，并期待十二月份再次返回金陵。（周蕾）

Dear Mrs.Li,

I would like to inform you of my experience today on Oct.23th. After staying 7 days at your hotel, I Check out and departed to the airport. At the airport I realized that I had lost my passpost. I immediately called the hotel who tried to find it. Unfortunately they were successful. Upon returning to the hotel, I was met by Shirley Zhou and Edward Wang who again helped me hunt in all the places that we could think to look. However still we could not find it. Shirley Zhou suggested that we file a police report and get the certification from the Exit-entry Administration. GRO Jane Chen and Security Edmend Zeng accompanied me to get this done. They convinced the Exit Entry Administration to stay open during their lunch hour so that I could get the certificate in time to take my train to Shanghai. It took less than two hours to do this. Shirley Zhou arranged for our train tickets to Shanghai while we were obtaining our certificate. Edward Wang was also very helpful directing his staff in a very professional way.

I just want to tell you how wonderful your staff was in helping me in what could have been a very difficult experience. It means so much to a foreigner in need to have a staff such as yours to help in such a positive way and show so much concern. Because of them, I will only be delayed one day.

My experiences have always been good at the Jinling Hotel, but this one was one that I will remember always.
